There is no account
Plateknow has no sign-up and no sign-in. It never asks for your name, email address or Google account. On first launch it creates a random install ID, which is not linked to you. There is no account to close and nothing to log out of.
Delete everything in the app
- Open Plateknow and go to Me → Data management.
- If you want to keep a copy, tap Export first. The export is free and gives you CSV and JSON files.
- If you may later ask us to delete your purchase record or analytics data, copy the install ID shown on this screen before you continue.
- Tap Delete everything and confirm.
This erases, immediately and on the phone: every meal and photo, estimates, check-in answers, notes, the body profile, everything waiting in Recently deleted, and every setting. It also forgets the install ID, so the next launch starts as a new install, and resets the analytics services for this install: Google Firebase clears the install ID and its analytics data on the phone, crash reports not yet sent are discarded, and Mixpanel stops receiving events from this install. Events already sent are not removed by this — to have them deleted, send us your install ID first (see below). It cannot be undone.
Delete part of your journal
Deleting a single meal, or one category on the Data management screen, moves those items to Recently deleted on your phone. They stay there for 30 days, so you can put them back, and are then removed for good. Recently deleted exists only on your phone.
Uninstall the app
Uninstalling Plateknow (Settings → Apps → Plateknow → Uninstall, or long-press the icon) removes everything the app stores on the phone. Three things to know:
- Uninstalling does not cancel a subscription. Cancel in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
- If Android backup was on, a copy of the journal’s data files (not photos) may remain in your Google account backup. You can delete device backups from your Google account’s storage settings.
- Nutrition records Plateknow wrote to Health Connect stay in Health Connect until you delete them there.

Ask us to delete your purchase record or analytics data
If you ever bought or trialled Premium, RevenueCat holds a purchase record linked to your random install ID. Mixpanel and Google Firebase hold product analytics events, and Firebase Crashlytics any crash reports, linked to the same install ID. To have any of them deleted:
- Find your install ID in Me → Data management.
- Email hello@plateknow.com with the subject “Delete my data (Android)”.
- Include: your install ID, and what you want deleted: the RevenueCat purchase record, the analytics events and crash reports, or all of them. Analytics data can only be found by install ID. If you no longer have the install ID (for example, after Delete everything or uninstalling), include your Google Play order number instead — it starts with “GPA.” and is in the receipt email from Google Play — and we will find the record through it.
- Do not send card details, passwords or health information. We do not need them.
We delete the RevenueCat customer record and the analytics and crash data for that install ID at Mixpanel and Google Firebase, and reply to confirm, within 30 days of your email. Our reply and your request are then deleted from our inbox once no longer needed.
Deleting the purchase record does not cancel billing. If a subscription is active, cancel it first in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Google Play keeps its own order and payment records under its policies.
Health Connect data
Plateknow never copies Health Connect data to any server, so there is nothing of it for us to delete. To stop access, turn off Connected in Me → Health Connect or revoke Plateknow in Health Connect settings; to remove nutrition records Plateknow wrote, delete them in Health Connect. See the Health Connect page.
