This page covers plateknow.com, the website. The app is not released; when it is, it will have its own policy covering food photographs, and that policy will be linked here.
The website loads nothing from anyone else
No third-party fonts, no advertising, no embedded video, no social widgets, no analytics scripts. Every file this page needs comes from this domain. That is not a promise we are asking you to take on trust — the build fails if any external request appears in the markup, which is a check that runs on every deployment.
The site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.
If you join the waitlist
The form sends what you typed to a server on this same domain. It stores:
- Your email address.
- Your note, if you left one.
- The market you selected and the language of the page you were on.
- Which page you signed up from, the referring page if your browser sent one, and the two-letter country code the network provides.
- The time.
Your IP address is not stored. To stop one person submitting the form a thousand times, the server keeps a salted, truncated SHA-256 hash of your IP and browser string, which cannot be turned back into an address, and deletes those rows after two hours.
What we do with it
Send you one email when the app is available. Read the notes, because they decide what gets built. That is the complete list. Your address is not sold, not shared, and not added to a newsletter.
To be removed, email [email protected] and it is deleted — no confirmation loop, no "are you sure".
Where it is kept
The site and the waitlist database run on Cloudflare's network. The database is a single table that nobody but the developer can read.
Analytics
There are currently none on this site. Cloudflare counts requests at its edge for operational reasons, which happens for any site behind it and involves no script on the page. If measurement is ever added it will be behind a consent banner that defaults to off, and this section will be rewritten in the same change rather than afterwards.
